Landfill TAX increase

Further to the Government’s ongoing program of increasing Landfill Tax, we are again faced with informing you of unavoidable increases. To limit this, our policy has been to invest in the most efficient and innovative recycling equipment as we look to stay ahead of our competitors.

Despite the significant price increases the waste industry faces, we endeavour to keep the cost of our services to you to a minimum but do need to inform you of the additional charges which will take effect from April 1st 2009.

The increase which will be applied has been spread across the sector and applied on the tax element, raising tax by 25% from £32 to £40 per tonne.

Anaerobic Digestion - the way forward for Britain

Politicians are backing AD in their new vision for a ‘greener’ Britain. With AD we can produce electricity to power homes, provide heat for local businesses and reduce CO2 emissions. These are just a few of the benefits of AD, not to mention diverting food and other organic waste away from landfill sites.

Blue Castle are working closely with one of the largest Renewable Energy plants in the country in an effort to help food manufacturers and other organic waste producers to reduce their waste bill and reduce carbon footprints. Contact our office to find out more information on the latest renewable technology taking over the country.
